Mini Surface Prep Buff and Blend Discs (1/2" Arbor Hole)

How are Surface Prep Buff and Blend Discs constructed?

The are constructed of a single ply of our Very Fine, Medium, and Coarse materials.

What do I get? 

Mini Surface Prep Disc packs consist of 4-6 wheels depending on the material. Very Fine discs come in packs of (6), Medium discs in packs of (5), and Coarse discs in packs of (4).

The Mixed Diameter Kits come with (4) discs of each material in the chosen diameter.

What type of machine should I use with these mini buffing wheels? 

These Mini Surface Prep Discs can be used on a conventional drill along with angled and straight die grinders. 

Note: Mini Surface Prep Discs do not include a mandrel, but you can purchase one here.

What are the safety requirements for buffing wheels & metal polishing? 

We HIGHLY recommend that you use a full face respirator mask! This FULL FACE RESPIRATOR MASK  is highly recommended and great quality. 

When do I use Surface Prep Buff and Blend Discs?

Surface Prep Buff and Blend Discs should be used for moderate surface cleaning and deburring (smoothing) before polishing. These Mini Surface Prep Buff and Blend Discs are meant to help reduce sanding and mill lines while preparing metal to be polished. 

After surface preparation, one may choose to follow up with sanding at 320 Grit to remove any remnants left behind by the disc. For a final polish, follow up with fine-grit Sanding Disc, then use the Brown Tripoli Polishing Compound and an Airway Buffing Wheel.
